Conference proceedings (deadline July 18, 2008)
Proceedings will be published in the journal Physica Scripta, a publication of the Swedish Royal Academy of Sciences.Since this symposium is a birthday present for BenGt, it was decided that prompt publication is of high priority. We would therefore like to encourage all speakers to prepare their proceeding contribution alongside their presentation before the symposium. Plenary discussions following the talks will be recorded and included in the proceedings.
The final deadline for submission is Friday, the 18th of July 2008, the jubilee day. In other words, contributions submitted after BenGt's birthday will not be part of "A Stellar Journey".
The papers should be prepared using the LaTeX templates which can be downloaded here. The final page limits are 8 for the 40-minute contributions and 6 for the 25-minute ones and posters. This corresponds to 20 and 15 pages in the preprint format, respectively. One colour figure per paper may be included. Please name your LaTeX file with "lastname.tex", and the figures as "lastname_fig1.eps", "lastname_fig2.eps", etcetera, and pack them all in a tar ball "lastname.tar" to be sent as an email attachment to loc2008(AT)astro.uu.se .
NOTE added July 1: It is not possible to create a double-column format preprint. The double-column format will be created by the journal during the production process from the single-column format used in the template. However, since all mathematical formulae will need to be fitted into the width of a single column individual lines of equations should not occupy more than two thirds of the line width in this preprint form.
