The guest rooms at the observatory are now fully booked.

Dear All,

According to the resonance to my previous circular I blocked the 
apartment for the time from Monday, Feb.19 to Monday Feb.26, 2007, for 
the VALD workshop. All of you know the quality of the large and small 
****guest rooms at the observatory. Three of you can make use of them.
Presently, end of Feb. is not oversubscribed, hence I can slightly 
shift/extend the reservations if you tell me so within the next days.

I assume that Ulli will organize the structure of the workshop, draft a 
schedule and let us (in Vienna) know in time which computing resources, 
etc. will be needed. Is the mailing list complete?

I hope to meet you all in Vienna!

Ulli raised again the question of a February VALD Workshop in Vienna in 
February 2007. This option was discussed in Prague.

 From my point of view such a workshop would be timely and also helpful 
to prepare a larger VALD conference planned for summer 07 in Uppsala, 
and to speed up VALD-3.

I suggested February 2007, because of semester holidays in Vienna. Hence 
the resources of the institute would be more easily available (meeting 
room and computers).

I agree to arrange for a VALD workshop in Vienna - if that's the 
location you agree.

Organizing (and funding) workshops becomes more and more tricky 
nowadays, hence I need a lead time of at least half a year. With other 
words, this meeting could be planned for February 2007 - as a first 
rough estimate. Feb. has the bonus of unlimited access to the lecture 
room at our observatory which reduces already the needed budget.

Yes, I would be willing in participating in it. Preference in location: 
Vienna. Preference in date: not before the end of November/early
December, because among other things I have to edit two books before
that (a Springer Lecture Notes in Physics volume, IAU S 239 conference 
proceedings). Later on is fine with me in almost any case. I can 
unfortunately not offer to be the host of that workshop, as I simply
would be the only "local one" involved.
