A ``rhd.mean'' file contains derived data (averaged fluxes,
other averaged quantities, surface intensities)
in addition to the complete data sets in ``rhd.full'' files.
It has more entries than a full model file.
However, they are much smaller. Therefore, one can afford a higher output sampling rate.
Its format is usually Fortran ``unformatted'' (binary).
