I'm a researcher and senior lecturer in stellar astrophysics at the Division of Astronomy and Space Physics, Department of Physics and Astronomy, Uppsala University, located in the Ångström laboratory on the outskirts of Uppsala.

My main research interests are the physics of stellar atmospheres, fundamental stellar parameters, chemical abundances and nucleosynthesis, non-equilibrium line formation, atomic diffusion in stars, ultra-metal-poor stars as a probe of Population III, the chemical evolution of the Galaxy, Big Bang nucleosynthsis, the Magellanic Clouds, the Sun-Earth connection.

I have worked with a number of people over the years, including Paul Barklem (UAO), Tim Beers (Michigan State), Norbert Christlieb (UAO), Katia Cunha (Rio de Janero, Tucson), Anna Frebel (Harvard), Zhao Gang and his group (Beijing), Thomas Gehren and his group (Munich), Bengt Gustafsson and his group (Uppsala), Frank Grundahl (Århus), Andreas Kaufer (Paranal), Stefan Keller (Canberra), Norbert Langer (Utrecht), Claudia Maraston (Oxford), Lyudmila Mashonkina (Moscow), John Norris (Canberra), Norbert Przybilla (Bamberg), Olivier Richard (Montpellier), Nils Ryde (Lund), Frederic Thevenin (Nice), Daniel Thomas (Oxford), Nikolai Piskunov (Uppsala) and Bernhard Wolf and his group (Heidelberg) .
