Aquila is a constellation on the celestial equator and the Milky Way goes through it. In greek mythology it is associated with Zeus, and in the Ganymede story with Aquarius. Although there are no bright non-stellar objects, the bright star Altair is the south tip of the summer triangle, which is one of the few things that can be seen on the night sky during the swedish summer.
