Lacerta is an anonymous northern circumpolar constellation between the more prominent Cassiopeia, Cygnus, and Pegasus. The constellation is a rather modern creation. The constellation is high in the sky in autumn and early winter evenings. An open cluster, NGC 7243 can be seen in the image as a faint dot.
