Realistic 3D radiation hydrodynamics simulations
of the outer convective envelope and the atmosphere
of a tip AGB star:
- Huge envelope convection cells
- Large-scale (but not spherically symmetric) atmospheric shock waves
- No artificial piston required
- Onset of dust formation
- 3D is slow
