VALD3
- data files - atomic data (Tanya)
- main work done
problem: Si I (new Kurucz calculations, improved over previous lists, but data for some lines still clearly "wrong") -> leave as it is now, Action Tanya: add comments on wiki page (comments_gfemq1400_obs), classify in "observed" and "calculated" later
- a few new Kurucz calculations have to be converted (Y I, Y II, C I, C II)
- data files - molecular data (Ulrike)
- TiO data from Plez and Schwenke (via Kurucz) are ready and will be part of VALD3 release, further data will be added gradually
- extraction software (Nik)
select3 (Action Nik) select3 was adapted to the new format of the list of species. Action closed 29-12-2011 (Nik).
new format for species list is being implemented. Finished and tested (Nik)
issue with reference list is being resolved. Finished and tested (Nik)
new equation of state has to be tested. Waiting for partition functions and equlibrium constants from Paul and Remo (Nik)
ems software has to be adapted to preselect3 (new options added), statistics part still needs to be done (Action Nik, Eric). New extraction options were implemented in parsemail and parserequest for proper formation of the extraction control files. Handling of the compiled BibTeX file including its mailing as an attachment is also done. One big remaining task in this action point is statistics (Nik).
- web interface has to be adapted
showline3 - "html" option is implemented, which produces html version of output -> needs to be implemented in web interface (Action Nik, Eric)
- documentation for users (on web page / on VALD wiki)
new information needed compared to VALD2 (most important): explanation of configuration file, line list references -> exists on wiki page
move most documentation from web page to wiki, update, and link from web page to wiki, or produce "web version" of wiki content -> check details (Action Ulrike, Eric, Samuel, with Thomas) - partly done
move wiki to new VALD server in Uppsala (Action Thomas/Ulrike) - no, wiki will stay on separate server (easier to maintain together with other wikis). Action closed (Ulrike).
examples and tests - use test files from Torgnys test for VAMDC (see report to appear on VAMDC wiki) - Action Nik, with Torgny
svn repository -> move to (new) VALD server in Uppsala (Action Eric) Done - Action closed.
- testing by users - discuss details later
- additional data - hyperfine structure constants (post-VALD3 development, first ideas were discussed)
VAMDC-VALD3
import tool issue (Action Samuel)
VALD2
statistics issue (Action Nik)
will run in parallel with VALD3 for one year (Action/discussion Eric, Thomas, Samuel)
